Mission
Statement

Unfortunately, many within the Afrikan-American (i.e. New Afrikan) Community don't take natural disasters or crisis seriously, and our community's failure to prepare itself for a natural disaster is indicative of that criticism. We are approximately 15 years removed from Hurricane Katrina, and not one New Afrikan Community

(for the most part) has effectively or independently prepared itself in light of the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina. We can no longer afford to depend on the government or any outside sources; our vulnerability becomes more fragile when we are dependent on the outsiders or others to do for us what we are capable of doing for ourselves. Developing our own emergency network and/or manual is no longer an option, it is now a necessity towards the Survival of Our People/Community. The key to surviving a natural disaster or at least minimizing fatalities, is being prepared and organized. This Emergency Response Network Website is only a brief medium designed to provide Our People/Community the basic survival information they will need of surviving a Natural Disaster.
